Worth a try Yes, photoshop elements uses the same camera raw versions, just with some features disabled. Those installers will not work for photoshop elements 15 and yes many users have tried. Older versions up to pse 10 had the updates available as downloadable from the adobe updates page, but since pse 11 adobe doesn\’t provide the separate update installers anymore.

My gripe is either photoshop elements doesn\’t get new camera raw update at or near the same time photoshop does or doesn\’t get the update at all and pse 15 will still be the current pse version till late september or early october when the new photoshop elements versions come out, so elements users don\’t get camera raw updates for like 4 or 5 months and adobe starting doing that around the time pse 11 came out.

You are not necessarily looking for the word RAW. Only for Cameras its called \”RAW\”. In Photoshop, we don\’t talk camera-talk, we talk Photoshop-talk. To convert you are looking for those file formats from the camera and converting them to TIFF which will retain its full non compressed file to be edited in TIFF.

Also note that, cameras compress RAW files to 16 bit compression. In Photoshop we need those files converted to 8 bit. All print drivers from every image editor will need 8 bit files to print correctly. Print drivers will force this conversion on its way to the printer. Professionals use TIFF to have more editing flexibility. I\’m not sure why you are complaining for your lack of RAW files.

Elements was jam packed with RAW converters like a regular Photoshop. This is why everyone has switched to Elements to own a real program instead of a subscription CC program. Sounds like the rest of these guys are on the right track and they can help you with your converting maybe.
