For the second year in a row, Intuit has given us a compelling reason to upgrade to QuickBooks Premier for Accountants My team and I spend most of our day troubleshooting common client data entry errors that are easy to find but can be very time-consuming to correct.

That was before the new client data review tools that were introduced in the version and have been expanded on in I have used QuickBooks exclusively for about 13 years now. I love how it paves the way for small business owners to get a feel for how business is done. I think it is imperitive for small business owners to learn how to use the software correctly as they can get themselves in deep doo doo rather quickly and also think they need other software that, in the end will find out QuickBooks fulfills that need.

This said, QuickBooks is not to be underestimated. The Accountant\’s version of the QuickBooks has many new features designed specifically for accountants that will no doubt increase effecienty and office productivity.

My new favorite feature is the Client Data Review tool that allows accountants to accurately and easily perform periodic data analysis and adjustments to client files. Another tool for accountants is the improved Intuit Statement Writer that will allow users to quickly and easily create financial statements in an Excel type environment.

Added to these features designed for accountants is a long list of new general user features, including a newly designed Report Center, an enhanced Company Snap shot screen, Intuit Check Solutions on-line deposit of customer payments and of course the widely talked about Document Management system. I give this product a 5 star rating and encourage all accountants to quickly upgrade their systems.

I also encourage all other users to upgrade as well to take advantage of the new features and help improve office effeciency! QuickBooks Premier has been for the last several years the best available software for small to Mid-sized businesses. This year they have added some new features that make it even better. My personal favorite, besides the Document Mangement system, which speak for itself, is the change in the Reconcile Feature. Who knew such a small thing as listing everything \”Not Cleared\” as bold, and once it is cleared undoing the \”bold\” would make such a difference.
